My dealing is about finding African Antiques. I found out that the age of the pieces is very important in determining the value. Today people accord much importance to the provenance, but this should never be the first reason to buy a piece. I have seen many pieces with a good provenance, and made for the decoration market. So I always first look at the piece, before asking for the provenance.
