The exhibition of Fine Art Photography works by Sylvie Verhaeghe is not curated
yet but presented by David Norden his agent and partner in life.
While Sylvie Verhaeghe (1967-?) worked many years as owner from a photographic
studio doing mainly family and children portraits she remains impossible to categorize, or to forget.
Sylvie Verhaeghe is a meticulous craftsman, producing relatively few finished works in
her 12-year artistic career. Surrealism and post-modernism early influence-as seen in
her first blue prints of home found objects, and the sensitive pictures she made
from her regretted mother .
A central feature of Sylvie 's creative vision is here "focus"-her interest in
photography -and here enthusiasm.
"ID-Photography" assembles key works dated 2005 that represent the astonishing
straightforward creative vision on human and objects identity.

While a "purist" photographer in terms of print quality, Sylvie use the medium in highly unconventional ways.
She explored the potentials of out-of-focus images, made cibachrome prints from superimposed negatives and experimented with synthetic, or
non-camera "negatives", and digital prints
.
She employed the ideas of denaturing colors and renewal to create new aesthetic "life" from scavenged
representation of "objective portraits": She selects in the hundred of
passport pictures she had to make and gives them some universal message,
representing the whole range of human emotions and age.

Sylvie Verhaeghe is the medium's best-kept secret till now.
