Buddhism, a major world religion, founded in northeastern India and based on the teachings of Siddhartha Gautama, who is known as the Buddha, or Enlightened One (read more on buddhism and Tibetan budhism ). This piece is coming from the Himalaya, Buddhism in Tibet, has developed a rich symbolic tradition, this fine ram head contains several of these symbols like the Conch Shell (sankha), symbol of the fame of Buddha's teachings and the Dharmachakra Buddhist Wheel Symbol means "the wheel of transformation." and symbolises the rebirth of Buddha himself, since in the early art he was not represented himself.
